Chelsea vs Barcalona (2012)

Chelsea already hold the advantage going into this game leading 1-0 on aggregate but Barcalona are one of the strongest sides at the moment so there is no doubt that they can pull this back.

Barcalona had held all the cards in the 1st half and they dominated Chelsea having most of the shots in the 1st half. 10 minutes before half time the ball is ran into the box by a Barcalona player who then pulls it back to Sergio Busquets who calmly slots the ball into the empty Chelsea net making the score 1-1 on aggregate. then 2 minutes later John Terry is sent off for violent conduct after he kneed Alexis Sanchez in the leg. Now Chelsea have 10 men a against a strong Barcalona team. Barca capitalise apon this and score again before half time and now they are ahead on aggregate 2-1. Before half time Frank Lampard slots the ball through to Ramires who calmly chips the ball over Victor Valdes’ head now Chelea are ahead on away goals just before half time.

The 2nd half starts and Barcalona are looking to score so they can be ahead and can go into the final. They repeatedly bombard the Chelsea defence. They win a penalty that Lionel Messi takes but he hits the bar Chelsea are given a lucky escape. They Barcalona bombardment continues throughout the game Messi hits the post and they continue to attack the Chelsea net. In stoppage time Lampard clears the ball past the halfway line and Torres is there as he collects the ball and sprints towards the Barcalona goal Victor Valdes goes out to meet him but Torres calmly knocks the ball past him leaving an empty net to the Spaniard who calmly knocks the ball into the net and Chelsea are truly safe and are going to the Champions league final in Munich. The final score is 3-2 to Chelsea on aggregate.
